Manual check-in is the simplest way to record a visit at a location. You simply tap the check-in button — no GPS verification or QR code scan required.

When Is Manual Check-In Available?

Manual check-in is available when the creator of a place or trail has enabled this method. It is often offered as a fallback when GPS or QR code is not working.

Is Manual Check-In Verified?

No — manual check-ins are marked as "unverified." They still count for trail progress, but trail creators can optionally exclude them.
