Whether a souvenir contributes to your trail progress depends on whether the licensed product is linked to a place on your current trail.

When does a souvenir count as a visit?

If the souvenir product is linked to a specific Point of Interest and that place is part of a trail you're following, registering the souvenir automatically counts as a visit for that place.

When does it not count?

A souvenir does not count as a visit when:

• The product isn't assigned to a specific place
• The linked place isn't part of your active trail
• You've already visited the place via a manual check-in

Recommendation

If you want to make sure a visit is counted, use the on-site check-in — via QR code scan or geolocation. The souvenir is then a nice bonus for your collection.
