What do the different item statuses mean?

Item Status Options

Each item has a status that tells finders what's going on. Here are your options:

Available Statuses

• Possessed — Default. Item is with you
• Lost — You've misplaced it and want it back
• Stolen — Warns finders of potential theft
• Found — Someone returned it to you
• Lent — You've given it to someone temporarily

What Finders See

"Lost" and "Stolen" statuses show prominent alerts on the scan page. This encourages finders to help return your item.

Changing Status

1. Open the item in your dashboard
2. Click on the current status
3. Select the new status
4. Changes take effect immediately

Tip

Set "Stolen" carefully — it tells finders the item may have been illegally obtained.
