Reporting Content

itemID Community Networks rely on members to help keep the community safe and respectful. If you come across an alert or sighting that violates community guidelines, you can report it directly.

How to Report

  1. Navigate to the alert or sighting you want to report
  2. Click the flag icon (Report) button
  3. Select a reason for your report:
    • Spam โ€” Unsolicited or irrelevant content
    • Harassment โ€” Threatening or abusive behaviour
    • Misleading โ€” False or deceptive information
    • Inappropriate โ€” Content that does not belong
    • Privacy violation โ€” Exposes personal information
    • Other โ€” Anything else that concerns you
  4. Optionally add details to explain the issue
  5. Click Submit Report

What Happens Next?

Once you submit a report:

  • Community moderators are notified immediately
  • The report is added to the moderation queue for review
  • The moderator can uphold (confirm the violation) or dismiss the report
  • If upheld, the content creator is notified and their Trust Level may be affected

Can I Report Anonymously?

Reports are visible only to moderators. The person who created the reported content will not see who submitted the report.

What If My Report Is Dismissed?

Dismissed reports have no negative effect on either party. Moderators review each report individually, and disagreements in judgement are normal.
