What is My Map?
Your Personal Map Hub
My Map brings together everything location-based on itemID into a single page: your registered items with home locations, places you've created, trails you've built, cities you're exploring, and community activity — all visible on one interactive map.
What You'll See on My Map
- Registered IDs: Items, pets, and emergency cards you've registered. If you've set a home location, they appear as colored markers on the map (blue for items, green for pets, red for emergency cards).
- Places: Locations you've pinned — viewpoints, cafés, parking spots, or anything meaningful. Shown as violet markers.
- Trails: Walking routes connecting your places. Displayed as teal lines on the map.
- Facilities: Managed locations (if enabled). Shown as amber markers.
- City explorations: Your visited cities with progress percentages and community membership status.
Map Layers
When you have multiple types of content, the map shows layer toggle buttons in the top-right corner. You can show or hide:
- Places — your personal places and trail routes
- My IDs — your registered items with home locations
- Cities — all explorable cities (visited ones appear in indigo, unvisited in gray)
City markers automatically cluster together when zoomed out and expand as you zoom in.
Stats Bar
At the top of the page, the stats bar gives you a quick overview of your registered IDs, places, trails, and cities explored — along with quota information for places and trails.
City Directory
At the bottom of My Map, you'll find a searchable directory of all explorable cities in Germany. Search by city name and discover new places to explore.
Getting Started
If you're new to My Map, the onboarding guide walks you through five steps: register an item, pin a place, explore a city, create a trail, and share your routes with others.
