QR Code Won't Scan?

Sometimes there are scanning issues. Here are the most common causes and solutions.

Common Problems

  • Poor lighting — Ensure adequate light
  • Damaged code — Scratches, tears, or fading
  • Wrong distance — Optimal: 10-30 cm
  • Dirt — Clean the label gently
  • Reflections — Avoid direct light on glossy labels

Solutions to Try

  1. Try different angles and distances
  2. Clean the label and camera lens
  3. Try with more or less light
  4. Test with another smartphone

For Permanent Damage

If the label is too damaged, you can print a new one. The QR code stays the same — all data remains linked.

Device Issues

Some older devices don't have built-in QR recognition. A free QR scanner app from the app store can help.
