What are Trust Levels?

Trust Levels are a way for itemID to recognise active and reliable community members. Your level is determined automatically based on your account age, activity, and community standing.

The Three Levels

Level	How to Reach	Daily Alert Limit
New	Default level for all new members	2 alerts per day
Verified	Account is at least 30 days old and has registered at least 3 items	5 alerts per day
Scout	Same as Verified, plus a track record of helpful contributions	10 alerts per day

How Is My Level Determined?

Your Trust Level is calculated automatically every time you perform an action that depends on it (such as creating an alert). The system checks:

• Account age: How long you have been a member
• Registered items: How many items you have linked to your account
• Moderation history: Whether any reports against your content have been upheld

Can My Level Go Down?

Yes. If a moderator upholds a report against your content, your Trust Level may be reduced. Maintaining a positive track record is crucial for keeping your level.

Where Can I See My Level?

Your Trust Level badge appears next to your name in community alerts and sightings, so other members can see your standing at a glance.
