itemID is a platform that bridges the physical and digital worlds. Every item you own β from your keys and wallet to your pet's collar or an emergency medical card β can be linked to a unique digital identity via a QR code. When someone scans that code, they can instantly reach you without ever seeing your personal information.
Whether you've lost your keys at a cafΓ© or your dog has wandered off, itemID makes it easy for finders to contact you in seconds β completely anonymously and without any app required on their end.
How It Works
The process is simple: register an item, generate a QR code label, and attach it. If someone finds your item, they scan the QR code with any smartphone camera. This opens a contact page where they can send you a message directly β no sign-up or download needed on the finder's side.
You receive notifications via email, push notification, or in-app chat. From there, you can coordinate the return of your item through our secure, anonymous messaging system.
Three Pillars
itemID is built around three pillars: Items for everyday belongings, Pets for animal companions with special collar tags and missing posters, and Emergency for medical ID cards that can store critical health information accessible in an emergency.
