Getting Started with City Exploration

This guide walks you through the complete city exploration experience — from finding your first city to earning achievements.

Step 1: Find a City

Browse available cities on the itemID platform. Each city has its own page with a map, trails, and active campaigns.

Step 2: Explore the Map

Open the interactive city map to see available places. Use filters to narrow by category or trail.

Step 3: Check In

Visit a place and scan the QR code or use geolocation check-in. Your first visit earns you the "First Explorer" achievement and bonus points.

Step 4: Follow a Trail

Select a trail and follow the route. Visit all stops to complete the trail and earn the trail completion achievement.

Step 5: Join Campaigns

Check active campaigns on the city page and participate for extra rewards and unique experiences.

Step 6: Track Your Progress

Check your progress on the city page to see your visit count, completed trails, and badges earned.

Tips

• Search for hidden gems — some places are only discoverable via QR code
• Register souvenirs for additional achievements
• Complete trails to earn trail-specific badges
