Creating a personal place
Personal places allow you to create your own geographic points in itemID and optionally add QR codes to them.
Creation process
- Open the type picker dialog via the "+" icon
- Select "Place" from the "Explore & Manage" group
- Enter a name and optional description
- Set the location on the map or enter coordinates
- Optionally upload a photo
- Choose the desired visibility
- Save the place
Setting location
The location can be set in two ways:
- Map: Click or tap the desired position on the map
- Current position: Use the "My Location" button to use your current GPS location
Visibility
- Private: Only you can see the place (default)
- Public: The place appears in search and on the map for all users
QR code
After creation, a QR code is automatically generated. You can print it and physically place it at the location so other users can check in by scanning.
